Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question before getting started? Here are some of the questions clients commonly ask about working with Lumina Plus.
Working with Lumina Plus
What does Lumina Plus actually help businesses with?
Lumina Plus helps businesses make better-informed decisions through market research, business research, strategy, feasibility analysis, data and analytics, and marketing consultancy. Our work can range from answering a specific business question to supporting a larger growth, market-entry or strategic initiative. The starting point is always the business challenge, rather than a predefined service.
Do I need to know exactly what I need before contacting you?
No. You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined brief. If you know the business decision you’re trying to make, the challenge you’re facing or the opportunity you’re considering, that’s usually enough to start the conversation. We can help determine what research, analysis or strategic work is actually required. In other words: bring us the question. We’ll help define the work.
How does an engagement with Lumina Plus begin?
We start with an initial conversation to understand your objectives, business context, challenge and desired outcome. From there, we determine the appropriate scope, methodology and engagement structure. Depending on the situation, this may lead to a Focused Advisory, Growth Engagement or Ongoing Advisory relationship. There is no expectation that you need to choose the right engagement before speaking with us.
Will I work directly with a senior consultant?
Yes. Lumina Plus is built around direct senior-level involvement. You work directly with the consultant leading the engagement rather than being passed through multiple layers of account management or junior teams. This keeps communication clear and allows decisions and recommendations to be discussed with the person closest to the work.
The Engagement
Do you only provide reports and recommendations?
No. A report can be an important output, but it is not necessarily the end goal. Our work is designed to help answer a business question or support a decision. Depending on the engagement, this may include research, analysis, strategic recommendations, workshops, implementation guidance, follow-up analysis or ongoing advisory support. The objective is not simply to produce more information. It is to turn information into usable direction.
How long does an engagement take?
There is no single standard timeline. The duration depends on the question being addressed, the research required, data availability, geographic scope and depth of analysis. A focused advisory question may require a relatively short engagement, while a market-entry, feasibility or growth initiative may require a substantially deeper programme of work. We scope the engagement around the problem rather than forcing every client into a fixed timeline.
How much does it cost?
There is no fixed public price list because engagements are scoped according to the specific business challenge. Pricing depends on factors such as scope of research, geographic coverage, analytical depth, complexity, required deliverables, and level of strategic and implementation support. After understanding the requirement, we can recommend an appropriate engagement structure and provide a clear scope and commercial proposal.
What if I don’t know which engagement is right for me?
That’s completely fine. You don’t need to diagnose your own consulting requirement before contacting us. Tell us what you’re trying to achieve, what decision you’re facing or where you’re currently stuck. We’ll help determine whether the right fit is Focused Advisory, Growth Engagement or Ongoing Advisory, or whether another approach would make more sense.
Research & Reach
Where does your research and data come from?
The sources depend on the question being investigated. Depending on the project, we may use primary research, secondary research, official statistics, industry sources, company information, market data, competitive intelligence and quantitative analysis. The methodology is matched to the decision being made. Where assumptions, estimates or scenario analysis are used, they are clearly distinguished from externally reported facts.
Can you work with businesses outside the GCC?
Yes. While Lumina Plus has particular experience and grounding in the GCC and MENA region, engagements can be structured around businesses, markets and opportunities beyond the region where the required research and expertise are appropriate. For international projects, the geographic scope and research methodology are defined during the initial engagement discussion.
Why work with Lumina Plus instead of a larger consulting firm?
Lumina Plus combines senior-level experience, analytical depth and direct client access without the layers and overhead typically associated with larger consulting structures. You work directly with the person responsible for the engagement, with the flexibility to scale the depth of research, analysis and advisory support around the problem. The result is a more focused relationship: experienced thinking when you need it, without building an unnecessarily large consulting structure around the assignment.
Still have a question?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Tell us what you’re trying to solve. We’ll help you determine the right next step.
